Steven Heuring has been a member of the Vandenberg Village Lions Club since March 2015. He has been a resident of Vandenberg Village since 2001 and is married with two adult children and six grandsons.
Steven enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately after graduating high school in 1973. His military career spanned 26 years, and he reached the grade of Senior Master Sergeant before retiring in July of 1999. Along the way he earned an associate’s degree in production commercial art.
After retiring from the USAF, Steve was employed by Princeton Publishing located in Indiana to manage their Graphics System & Advertising Department. In December 2000 Steve was enticed to return to Vanden-berg to work as a Visual Information Specialist for the 30th Space Wing – Public Affairs Office Art Department. Steve retired from Federal Civil Services in December 2021 culminating a 47-year career with the United States Air Force.
Steve is a board member of the Vandenberg Village Lions Club and has served as President and Treasurer. He is involved in other areas of his community, serving on various boards, sometimes as President, including the Vandenberg Village Community Services District, Vandenberg Village Association, and the Vandenberg Village Park & Play-ground Coalition.
