A proud member of Camarillo Amber’s Light Lions since 2015, Mary Ann Novak spent more than 40 years in healthcare administration. Upon retirement, she was happy to have the time to volunteer and participate in multiple Lions projects. She has served in various club leadership rules, including president; with our District as Chair for the Student Speakers Contest, as well as membership on the MD4 Student Speakers Contest Committee.

For her service, Mary Ann has been awarded the Camarillo Amber’s Light Lion of the Year, a Henry J Aslan Fellow, a Melvin Jones Fellow, a Kay Fukushima Fellow, an International President’s Certificate of Appreciation, and the MD4 Excellence Award.

In addition to Lions, Mary Ann volunteers at the Pleasant Valley Historical Museum in Camarillo and now serves on their board. In 2022 she was honored by the Pleasant Valley Historical Society as a Camarillo Doña for her volunteer work in the community.

She looks forward to the opportunity to work a second year as a Zone Chair with the great clubs in Zone 6.
