Greg Aitkens was born in Canada and became naturalized in the mid-1990s. He grew up near Los Angeles, receiving his BS and MS from Cal State-LA. He retired in 2021 after working 38 years as a certified financial planner.
Greg and his wife, Ginny, have been married for 51 years and have three adult children and three grandchildren. They lived in Orange County for nearly 40 years before moving to Cambria in 2017.
Soon after their move, Greg joined the Lions and became the Secretary less than a year later. He became the President in 2021, and now serves as a Cambria Lions’ Immediate Past President.
Greg is also very involved with the Cambria Lions Club Pinedorado Days. He became the Chair of the parade in 2019, and he continues as Parade Co-Chair. He is also the Co-Chair of the Pinedorado Days celebration.
Greg is still involved in a workplace minis-try called Worklight, formerly Christians in Commerce, and has been for nearly 40 years. He recently had a book published on for-giveness and maintains a website where there is a lot of his work on forgiveness. He is a frequent speaker and workshop facilitator on Christian themes with various groups.
Greg’s other interests include writing, road cycling, swimming, golf, and taking trips on cruise ships with his wife.
